DOT Compliance Manager

National Salvage is seeking a motivated, organized, and disciplined DOT Compliance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and assisting in the enforcement of DOT and FMCSA regulations. The DOT Compliance Manager must have the drive to protect the company against risk by doing things in general accordance with established standards.

DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide compliance advice and assistance on a regular basis

  • Conduction compliance investigations and routine audits

  • Manage on-going education program

  • Monitor compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations through regular audits

  • Monitor and assist in enforcement of DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure compliance

  • Assist with enforcement of employees compliance with corporate safety policies and procedures

  • Provide assistance with post-accident and post-injury investigations to ensure proper completion of required documentation and reporting

  • Review all investigation reports on Fleet accident and injuries

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance controls, procedures and operational processes

  • Help administer fleet management software system and stay abreast of updates, changes, new features and training opportunities

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience in transportation compliance is preferred

  • Expertise and extensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations

  • Deadline driven with excellent organizational skills

  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency and working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook

  • Self-starter with ability to take initiative and be an independent thinker.

  • Ability to define processes and procedures as well as initiate tasks related to job requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize. Multi-task and meeting deadlines

  • Valid driver-s license
