ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform a variety of warehouse duties.
Load or unload supplies, parts or materials onto or from delivery trucks.
Transfer and store items in warehouse, stacking pallets or arranging materials, adhering to safety guidelines as directed.
May deliver items from storage areas to designated departments.
May operate power truck or forklift.
Prioritize workload and expedite as required.
May assist with various shipping functions.
May pack, pull or check customer orders; replenish supply rooms or shelves.
May check prepared orders against shipping or customer order, and report shortages and incomplete orders.
May use standard manual and automatic equipment, such as electronic scales, foam machine, paper cutter, automatic bagger, shrink wrap sealer, and electronic shipping software.
May measure and weigh cartons and convert from English to metric if needed.
May complete necessary bills of lading or air bills.
May maintain daily computerized file of incoming or outgoing shipments, and report daily figures as needed.
May monitor inventory of shipping supplies and notify supervisor when re-order is required.
May assist with various receiving functions.
May receive and unpack materials and supplies.
May check receipts against purchase order for proper shipment, shortages, damages and effects.
May complete receiving reports specified in standard procedures.
Maintain order of dock/shipping/receiving area
- Ensure cleanliness and neatness of all aisles, passageways and work areas in the warehouse or shipping and receiving area.
Implement and act in accordance with the company’s information security policies.
Protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference.
Execute particular security processes and activities.
Ensure responsibility is assigned to individual(s) for actions taken.
Report security events or potential events or other security risks to the company.
Possess mobility sufficient to walk on a continual basis, to stoop or reach 3 feet above the head and 3 feet laterally, and to climb ladders and stairs
Possess strength sufficient to lift and push or pull up to 55 pounds
Receive and transmit verbal information clearly and understandably
Possess ability to operate fork life or hand truck if required by position.
Business math and simple statistics.
Operation of a hand truck, forklift, postage machine or electronic shipping system, as appropriate.
Plan and organize work and manage competing priorities without close supervision;
Manage competing priorities;
Read and write English at a high school level;
Maintain regular and predictable attendance;
Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted within the line of work
