Track Repair Crew Foreman
Location: Frankfort, IN

This position requires extensive travel.
Responsible for performing general labor as part of a team that is responsible for track projects including construction, maintenance, inspections, and service. This position will be responsible for a crew of 6 or more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Moving and setting cross ties and lengths of steel rail
Tightening track bolts
Checking track gauge
Checking cross level
Carrying track jack (approx 40 lbs)
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Military Experience would be helpful
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with the typical problems that occur in track maintenance.
