Kaman Distribution Collections Manager in Ft. Wayne, Indiana
As one of the leaders at our Ft. Wayne Processing Center, the Collections Manager will be responsible for the collection and resolution of all Kaman Distribution Group (KDG) customer account balances to ensure targeted collection goals and objectives. You will also prepare weekly and monthly reporting packages while managing and coordinating the workflow of the collection staff of our Kaman Automation and Kaman Industrial Technologies teams.
Generates, review and evaluates reports for collection accounts and delinquencies.
Utilizes set policies and procedures given by the organization to prepare and monitor all financial, fiscal documentation, statistical and analytical collection reporting.
Responsible for assigning collectors their work schedules and ensure they are follow.
Accountable for proper training and full knowledge of the portfolio and audit procedures for his/her business unit of collectors.
Evaluate collectors on a monthly basis for performance and collection issues. Tracking and activity monitoring of client portfolios for their business unit.
Knowledge of contract billing processes, EDI transactions
Manage payment plans for accounts that have defaulted and/or are in collections.
Motivating collection staff and maintain a positive work environment.
Effective decision-making skills, coaching and mentoring.
Develop and publish reports and dashboards on quality of accounts receivable (past due, DSO, etc.) and cash posting activities. Provide ad-hoc reports to management regarding status of accounts.
Create action plans for success at both and account and national/regional level to achieve targets in past dues reduction.
Executes on new collection initiatives to fix a targeted problem with the AR process.
Work with outside collection agents on assigned corporate collection clients.
Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition and handles stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
Additional special projects and other duties as assigned.
Diversified to work in various ERP software systems.
Education and Experience
Degree: Bachelors Preferred in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
7 years or more in Collections and Management
Collections, Management, cash app experience. Great Plains is a plus
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability of analyze complex data and reports
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with solid excel skills (Pivot Tables is a must)
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication skill and solid process improvement competency
Knowledge of cash application
Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner. Includes being able to effectively manage multiple employees with diverse personalities and engage them to perform at optimum levels.
