Position Brand Description:

The Elanco global WM/IM Subject Matter Expert – Stallion will be member of a team of subject matter experts developing the Elanco supply chain business process requirments, influencing the selection of IT tools used to manage supply chain processes going forward and defining and rolling out the new processes and systems to supply chain employees world wide. This role serves as the subject matter expert for the Elanco global supply chain business processes pertaining the management of inventory, including processes relating to warehousing . This also includes ownership of master data, security and metrics that are key to making inventory processes work.

The role requires working in cooperation with the global and local supply chain and IT resources to coordinate and communicate all global business process changes relating to inventory and warehouse management.

Successful candidates will be able to apply to provide the vision and deep technical understanding needed to design and implement the Elanco WM/IM supply chain business process for the future. This individual will be able to influence across functions and geographies and at multiple levels within the organization.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Process Ownership

•Provide WM/IM expertise to select, design, test, implement and stabilize a new ERP system in 30 months.

•Design, develop, document and ensure WM/IM supply chain tools adhere to supply chain business roles, organization structure and responsibilities.

•Ensure global warehousing and inventory management processes are well understood and are being implemented effectively and efficiently across all Elanco sites, EEM organizations and affiliates.

•Provide easily accessible documentation that covers global warehouse and inventory management process design.

•Consult with warehouse and inventory management users where expertise is needed.


•Ensure sufficient business process documentation and training exists for Elanco’s future warehouse and inventory management processes.

•Define and implement a global approach for warehouse and inventory management training.

Communication / Networking

•Establish a strong relationship with G&A IT in the warehouse and inventory management area.

•Establish a strong relationship with Lilly Global Supply Chain contacts around inventory targeting.

•Develop a community of support and effective user communication process for key supply chain personal at Elanco manufacturing, EEM, and affiliate organizations as well as network and regional supply chain leaders.

•Network with other Subject Matter Experts to understand the overlap with other business processes.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Master's degree preferably in Supply Chain or Engineering

  • Strongly prefers someone who has been through an ERP implementation

  • Supply Chain Knowledge

  • Understanding all Supply Chain business processes and tools

  • Experience using or supporting Supply Planning Processes

  • Understanding of current reporting structures and processes throughout the world

  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP or CLTD)
