SAP ERP Project Manager - Remote

CTG is immediately hiring severalSAP ERP Project Managersto manage individual specific workstreams reporting to an overall Program Manager support a SAP ERP Implementation. This is a remote opportunity supporting a client in the Pacific Time zone.

This is an opportunity to work with a very strong management consulting team. They are a fast moving, hard working group of consulting professionals. The expectation would be to work a 50 hour work week and close to pacific- time zone. Previous experience managing an ERP implementation is required (SAP preferred). Please highlight the specific workstream experience you have in your response.

Summary

Manages the day-to-day detail of ERP implementations and delivery projects with; typically has P&L responsibility. Works closely with client executives and CTG managing directors, delivery management, account executives, and recruiters.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects with a revenue expectation in the $500,000 - $1,500,000 range.

  • Manage the vendor and client-team of resources building/testing/deploying the solution.

  • Plan, deliver, and complete a project to the customer’s satisfaction, on time and within budget

  • Tracking progress, resolving/escalating issues, identifying/escalating dependencies

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with the client

  • Participate in the formal coaching and training of other project managers

  • Manage a staff of six to 15 technical professionals

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Duties

  • Ensure assignment of proper mix of technical resources required to accomplish the approved work activities

  • Ensure the project team members have the appropriate tools and training to deliver the services

  • Manage scheduling and completion of the approved work activities

  • Manage work processes, methods, and standards to ensure on-time completion of the project deliverables

  • Provide periodic formal project reports to the client and to the CTG management team

  • Communicate project plans and status to the client and team members in a timely and effective manner

  • Monitor and act upon any changes in scope or service level using a change management process

  • Address open issues or problems in a proactive fashion

  • Maintain the project file

  • Actively monitor and evaluate staff capabilities and take an active role in assisting staff members transition to their next assignment

  • Participate in the service quality assessments

  • Perform quality management activities

  • Lead proposal activities

  • Ensure the project is properly closed on completion

  • Perform other duties as assigned to fulfill responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in MIS

  • Minimum 3-7 years’ experience in managing projects that deliver one or more service offerings in a variety of environments and platforms

  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile Certified Scrum Master (CSM) PRINCE2) highly desired

  • Expertise in presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, and team-building skills

  • Expertise in quality program methods and practices

  • Expertise in project management

  • Communicates with others: Provides information to others both internal and external to the organization; represents the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.

  • Possesses good listening skills: Listens intently to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions when appropriate, and allowing others to speak without interrupting them.

  • Maintains high-level reading comprehension skills: Reads and comprehends information presented in work-related documents.

  • Speaks clearly: Communicates information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

  • Writes clearly: Communicates information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

  • Resolves conflicts and negotiates with others: Brings others together and acts as a facilitator to reconcile differences.

  • Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships: Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

  • Critical thinking and analysis skills.

  • Strong time estimation and execution in prescribed estimated periods to provide high quality content and deliverables related to specific assignments.

  • Excellent with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

  • Understands the organizations goals and objectives as well as detailed functional objectives as they apply to their work assignments.

  • Takes responsibility for getting the work done.

  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.

  • Excellent planning and organizing skills and attention to detail.

  • Confident, optimistic, can-do attitude and a team player.
