About the Role:

Global Sourcing Manager will build phenomenal partnerships with suppliers around the world, manage and negotiate product costs, ensure supply against demand forecasts, develop and execute contracts, ensure suppliers are meeting compliance and quality requirements, and drive performance improvements. This role will help to build the foundation for how we partner with our global partners, with both finished goods manufacturers and their supporting supply chains.

What You Will Do:

Develop and coordinate an efficient global supply chain and monitor inventory for all global products and assist to increase growth.

Collaborate with internal partners to ensure data integrity for those key system parameters needed to drive timely and accurate planning decisions.

Supervise the negotiation and maintenance of all supplier contracts and ensure adherence via regular supplier performance reviews and performance metric tracking.

Design and implement effective strategies that ensure competitive pricing and continuity of supply, meet the capability and capacity needs of our product, and reduce compliance and supply disruption risk.

Drive strategic sourcing projects to develop new suppliers in various low-cost regions of the world that meet our business needs.

Supervise cost management projects.

Drive category management teams to plan, identify, prioritize, initiate, and execute high value projects that meet annual cost reduction goals.

Build commodity dependency models for our product categories and track global indices to proactively find opportunities and risks to our cost structure as well as potential countermeasures.

Maintain and improve competitive quoting processes that drive the lowest total cost of ownership, while delivering to the timeline needs of various new product development and cost reduction projects.

Lead the sourcing and purchasing teams, and our supplier base, in the identification of process improvement initiatives, creating and sustaining a culture of ethical business practices, transparency, proactive problem solving, and accountability.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or related field and/or equivalent experience. Masters preferred.

  • Proven track record in purchasing and global strategic sourcing.

  • Preferred knowledge of relevant operations and supply chain, contract manufacturing vendors, international sourcing, and some lighting component or consumer goods sourcing experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to present information to executive staff, and key industry partners and professionals. It is essential that this individual knows how to lead through ambiguity, balance multiple tasks, and prioritize appropriately. Working in a flexible environment and leading cross-functional teams is a critical part of this role. This person needs to be able to solve problems with a balance of creativity and fiscal responsibility.

  • Proficiency with common Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook.
