The Inventory Control Coordinator must have the ability to perform cycle counts, maintain accurate records, monitor inventory transactions, generate reports as needed/requested, and perform a variety of administrative duties in support of the inventory control team and purchasing team.
Responsibilities:
Review inventory levels by vendor, category, and/or product
Assure inventory levels are maintained according to predetermined standards
Prepare Requisitions for purchasing
Identify spikes and trends
Determine monthly & annual usage
Assist in all cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy, and research all operational problems in inventory
Maintain records of all variances according to established procedures and ensure accuracy of all product transfers from one facility to another
Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all cycle counts completed
Monitor all inventory transactions and provide required feedback to team on root cause on discrepancies found
Run reports and post accurate stats daily
Monitor and maintain all product data
Maintain BOMs, process Roll Ups, and prepare ECNs as needed
Perform a variety of clerical duties such as arranging files and mail correspondence as instructed
Assist Purchasing Department as necessary
Handles shipping documents, commercial invoices & HTS Codes for foreign vendors
Maintain Back Orders Report and address needs
Assist or spearhead Special Projects as needed
Assist with system upgrades and new modules to improve efficiency
Perform all computer functions related to receipts, transfers, and adjustments to inventory
Work efficiently with internal departments in the branch
Provide analytical support to warehouse managers to include summarizing and analyzing logistics and operational activities
Create ad-hoc queries and reports as needed and provide on-going analytical support for senior management
Prepare and Manage Physical Inventory Process for $4M+ inventory
Requirements:
High School diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
3-5 yrs Experience in procurement and/or purchasing
Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office experience a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong Customer Service Skills; ability to handle challenging issues as they arise
Office administrative experience a plus, ability to accurately maintain files
