Alliance HealthCare Services Logistics Manager -East Coast - Remote in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Logistics Manager is responsible for Logistics Supervisors and Drivers in the Logistics Department. Overall cost effective transportation of tractors/units. Duties include budget, DOT Compliance, Safety Training, cost effective fuel purchasing, productive scheduling of all drivers, tractors and units, hiring, reviews, disciplinary actions and working nationally with the Alliance team members to ultimately reach our overall goals for Mission, Vision and Values.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for coordinating delivery schedules of mobile units with the Routing Specialists, includes schedules for drivers, tractors and imaging units. Re-routes and schedules extra days of service and make-up days. Continually works with Directors of Operation and Managers of Operation to identify existing or potential problems with any aspect of delivery.
Works with the Logistics and Operations teams to maximize efficient mobile routes to eliminate unnecessary mileage, minimize fuel usage, and maximize driver productivity while minimizing overtime.
Assists managing vendor relationships at the local level and utilizes all personnel to support proper care of company assets. Evaluates and assesses emergency maintenance service requests. Resolves emergency situations, including after hours.
Supports sales and Operations with new and current clients, system site location requirements (i.e. pad, power, telephone and data). Assists clients with preparation and construction (architects, engineers, contractors, etc.) with site preparation.
Accountable for organizing and holding quarterly Driver safety meetings. Ensures team members under are operating in a safe and federally compliant manner at all times.
Involved in the annual budgetary process. As necessary, reviews the accounts payable, reviews and approves payroll, repairs and maintenance, and travel and entertainment invoices for all Logistic Team Members assigned.
Responsible for managing all equipment. Oversees audit process of all mobile, fixed and imaging center equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
A valid driver's license in the state of residence required.
Five (5) to eight (8) years related experience and/or training, including two (2) to three (3) years supervisory/management experience with proven and documented leadership successes.
Knowledge and understanding of FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) as it relates to personnel, operations, equipment, accidents, driver logs and maintenance.
Must be self-disciplined, have the ability to work independently, and possess strong communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Fleet Management Software.
Ability to manage 50-75 drivers remotely domiciled across a large geographic region.
