SUMMARY
The Production Controller is responsible for the tracking and control of maintenance work cards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the accountability of all routine and non-routine work cards
Responsible for the check out and delivery of work cards to the appropriate ProductionSupervisor or Lead Mechanic for each aircraft scheduled
Responsible for status changes on work cards, i.e. Hold for Parts, Hold for Rep Bump, etc.
Limit access to the control booth to Inspectors, Supervisors, Lead Mechanics and Customer Representatives
Perform work card inventories
Close Routine / Non Routine work cards
All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year office clerical experience required, 2 years preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Familiarity with aircraft maintenance technical documents preferred.
Candidate must possess computer skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel or equivalent.
Previous work experience in a heavy maintenance environment preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The environment characteristic for this position is an aircraft hangar setting. Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional business setting. Candidate must be able to work day or evening shifts, weekends and overtime.
