UnitedHealth Group Sales Manager (Telesales) - $1,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Telesales Manager is responsible for sales and service results for the telesales call center. The Telesales Manager will have approx. 4- 10 direct reports with a hierarchy of 75+ sales agents. The manager may also be responsible for the sales performance at multiple sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting department sales and service level targets

  • Presenting monthly sales results to senior leadership

  • Ensures staff adheres to selling guidelines associated with company policies & procedures

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels for the call center

  • Create and maintain processes that ensure an excellent customer experience

  • Effectively manages and develops the sales supervisors

  • Prepare for Open Enrollment each year

  • Develop and monitor performance management standards for the call center

  • Develop compensation models for all staff members on sales incentive plans

  • Responsible for ensuring all training needs for the agency are met

  • Responsible for representing the agency as the subject matter expert on agency sales and service

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of equivalent sales experience

  • 5+ years sales/business development experience creating strategy and market development

  • 5+ years staff supervisory/management experience

  • Active health & life insurance license (or able to obtain within 30 days of hire)

  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location

  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas, In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management experience in the insurance industry

  • Prior experience managing Brokers or Agents in a call center
