Here, you will make an impact by:Actively supporting EHS Cultural Excellence through personal responsibility for safety, health, and environment, promoting a culture to address incidents, near-misses and potentiTaking ownership of plant EHS programs and training including but not limited to: Environmental Compliance, Fall Protection, LOTO, Machine Guarding, Ergonomics, Confined Space Entry/Rescue, Chemical Safety, TSCA, Site Emergency Coordination, Waste Management, Ventilation, Hearing Conservation, and Respirators/PPE.Investigating workplace incidents and completing root cause analyses to determine appropriate corrective actions and conducting assessments of high hazard processes in order to reduce risk.Completing internal and external EHS compliance reports and analyze EHS data and report trendsImplementing on-going industrial hygiene chemical and noise assessments and monitoring plans; implementing ergonomic programs to reduce risk of cumulative trauma and other ergonomic injuries at the plant.Providing technical assistance and guidance to plant by leading or assisting in safety committee teams and meetings, including EHS regulatory interpretations.Providing EHS support in the design and installation of new or modified equipment, industrial automation, and management of change processes.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionFive (5) years of experience with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and procedures within a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Masters degree or higher in a science, engineering, or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) discipline from an accredited institutionTen (10) or more years of experience working in an EHS role in a manufacturing environmentExperience with hazard and risk assessments and experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with ergonomics assessments of physical capabilities, needs, and limitations such as ErgoPrime or ErgoJAR in a manufacturing settingProfessional Certification(s) such as: Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), Certified Safety Professional CSP, or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.U.S. Export Control
