POSITION WILL BE ONSITE: Due to the nature of this role, please keep in mind this position will require onsite work. All safety guidelines surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic must be observed.
Summer Intern – Enterprise Excellence Intern
As an Enterprise Excellence Intern you will be systematically taught how to drive continuous improvement in overall operations through the implementation of lean tools and change management techniques. What You Will Do:
Train and coach hourly operators and other employees on lean tools and processes
Support Kaizen events comprised of multi-functional team members
Appropriate and competent use of lean tools
Assisting site personnel to identify, address, and solve problems
Assisting in the change of systems/processes as required in support of the Lean initiatives
Participating in, co-facilitating or facilitating projects, RIEs and “just do-its”
Responsible to help coach/establish and maintain effective MDI
Timely completion of actions
Assisting all teams as needed to ensure improvements are made and sustained
Teach/Coach line leaders to create and implement standard work
Communication of the Lean Transformation and initiatives to employees
Actively support the use of lean tools to drive a culture of change
Other duties as identified by the Value Stream Coach to further the sites Lean Manufacturing initiative
Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
What You Need to Succeed:
Pursuing a degree in Change Management, Industrial Engineering, Leadership, or other relevant discipline
Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
Strong analytical skills and comfort with complex data

Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion’s business and customers
