Carrier’s Ductless & VRF business is the fastest growing product segment of HVAC in North America. Consisting of an Atlanta-based core team, global joint venture, and employees nationwide, the business is currently realizing the benefits of a long-term strategy to develop a customer-focused culture in support of an industry-leading platform product line.

General responsibilities:

The Supply Chain Planner role is a backfill from a recent promotion and is responsible for supporting the Asian sourced Ductless finished goods product lines for the ICP and Private Label channel by issuing purchase orders to suppliers as well as providing delivery assurance and supplier management responsibilities. Seamless collaboration with manufacturing, sales, marketing, warehousing, and other supply chain staff is essential. Duties include, but are not limited to PO placement, inventory planning, vendor delivery assurance, and private label direct shipment order maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support inventory planning and vendor purchasing through SAP for Asian Ductless products

  • Private label direct ship program maintenance including order placement, tracking, and customer communication

  • Monitor factory on time delivery OTD pperformance and communicate data, trends, recommendations

  • Collaborate with joint venture partner through weekly meetings, which sometimes require calls at night due to time zone differences

  • Discuss defective or unacceptable goods, services, paperwork with appropriate parties and participate in developing corrective actions

  • Track vendor shipments and communicate any delays

  • Evaluate and enhance supply chain and logistics to increase performance and productivity

  • Monthly Supply Chain Scorecard analyzing, updating, and reporting

  • Ad-hoc supply chain analysis for sales, finance, and management

  • Maintain supply chain turnbacks to track and resolve supply chain issues

  • Support the new product launch process by developing phase in phase out plans with the product manager and demand planner

  • Supervise and work with joint venture partner to correct any invoice and packing list discrepancies

Typical educational requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Operations Logistics or related field with 3-5+ years of experience

MBA/MS degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field experience preferred

Key qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2two years of related supply chain experience with emphasis on forecasting, planning and inventory management

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP or other comparable ERP system is required

  • Supply chain experience dealing with Asian manufacturers is highly desirable

  • CTPAT knowledge and global transportation experience is highly desirable

  • Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations

  • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset

  • Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks and implement progressive, sustainable solutions

  • Strong ability to work in diverse, cross functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a multifaceted, changing environment

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization

  • Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is highly desirable

  • Data analysis and visualization experience (Tableau or Power BI preferred)
