Masco Corporation Supply Planning Intern in Indianapolis, Indiana
This internship starts in May 2021 working 40 hours a week and extending into the Fall semester working 15-20 hours a week.
Delta Faucet Company has an excellent opportunity to join our Indianapolis corporate Supply Chain team as a Buyer/Planner Intern. This role gives you the opportunity to learn what it would be like as a full time Buyer/Planner at DFC with your own suppliers to manage.
As a Buyer/Planner Intern within Delta Faucet Company, you will work to ensure the effective supply of material to meet customer requirements. You will have 3 key responsibilities in your role:
Direct Material Purchase Order Management:
Review, approve, and release purchase orders.
Work with suppliers and Plant Production Planners to update POEDC report messages (expedite, de-expedite, cancel PO).
Update delivery dates on purchase orders within SAP to ensure accurate signals.
Collaborate with Finance, Sourcing, Logistics and Plant Receiving teams to resolve invoicing issues and receipt discrepancies.
Assist Buyer/Planners in management of inventory agreements.
Provide data maintenance support to ensure accurate ERP data.
Review Engineering Notices (EN’s) working with cross functional teams as necessary.
Participate in various cross functional projects as necessary.
Assist Buyer/Planners on certain tasks associated with insourcing, outsourcing, or resourcing projects.
Work within a continuous improvement-driven environment to develop new and more efficient processes and tools
Education & Experience:
As an interested individual, you:
Are pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university - preferably with a Supply Chain-related discipline.
Have good system skills including MSOffice with some advanced experience in MS Excel.
Can work cross-functionally in a team setting.
