Essential Functions Reporting to the Value Stream Manager you will be directly responsible for successful implementation of EHS programs and procedure, along with management of the day to day plant engineering functions and operations. Major Duties Develop and support a zero incident culture. Coordinate all EHS training. Onsite contact for Corporate EHS Department and under their direction manage OSHA actions such as, but not limited to, inspections, letters of noncompliance and informal conferences. Direct all applicable EHS reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain necessary EHS records. Ensure compliance with Corporate EHS Policy and Directives. Support customer EHS requirements (i.e. IMDS). Support and integrate EHS into all facets of the business Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Ect.) Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Manage all daily EPA requirements Evaluation of product relative to standardization of components and cost effectiveness. Work closely with Value Stream Manager on lean manufacturing concepts, plant layout, and production flow (current and future site mapping). Work closely with quality control and plant operators relative to training and applications. Work with the various departments (Purchasing, Engineering and Sales) relative to product design, application, and cost reduction of product. Development and implementation of required plant projects. Any other duties as requested by supervisor. Qualifications Education & Experience: Must have engineering or technical degree. Detailed knowledge of theoretical and applied engineering in a variety of fields. General understanding of cost statements and variations. General knowledge of product design, product requirements and product functions. Other Characteristics: Must have good communication and people skills while being able to make decisions. Experience in a manufacturing environment a must. 1 to 3 years preferred. Experience in Ergonomics and Behavior Based Safety a plus. Can work independently. Ability to plan and implement EHS programs. Strong presentation skills. Ability to work effectively with management as well as with associates from the floor. Must be able to travel and work out of the office.
