Job Descriptioniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iJob Title i Material HandlerDepartment i ProductionReports to i Shift SupervisoriSummary / ObjectiveiThe Material Handler position supports Nexgen production requirements through mixing, grinding, drying, moving and maintaining accurate inventory of all raw materials, finished goods and packaging by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.iEssential FunctionsiOperates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper department areas.Wrap finished goods with plastic wrap.Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department Supervisor.Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.Ensures all raw materials are accurately mixed, dried and brought to the machines to meet production schedule.Make sure regrind materials are utilized to the maximum level to customer specifications.Properly maintain and use company dryers and grinders.Maintain accurate inventory on all raw materials, finished goods, and packaging.Aid warehouse staff in truck loading and unloading as needed.Assist Set-Up Technicians as needed in setting up workstations.Maintain cleanliness and organization of production plant and warehouse facilities.Maintain safety and good housekeeping.iiiCompetenciesiiOrganizational SkillsTechnical CapacityInitiativeThoroughnessTime ManagementCommunication ProficiencyiSupervisory ResponsibilityiThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.iWork EnvironmentiWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.i The noise level in the work environment can be loud.iPhysical DemandsiThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.i This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.i The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.i Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.iPosition Type/Expected Hours of WorkiThis is a full-time position.i Hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.i Weekends and over-time is required, when needed.TraveliTravel is primarily local during business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.iRequired Education and ExperienceiiMinimum of a high school education and one year of factory-related experience in material handling.Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.A valid driveris license and a safe driving record.Licensed forklift truck operator.Understanding of company systems and procedures.Ability to work independently and handle projects to completion.iPreferred Education and ExperienceiiFamiliarity with software programs used in this job preferred.iOther DutiesiPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.i Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Job Descriptioniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
