Ryder System Outbound Warehouse Supervisor (CLS) - 1st Shift in Plainfield, Indiana

Position Description

We’re currently hiring a Warehouse Supervisor who is focused on the customer, on their employees, and on their continued career growth.

You will be responsible for leading, guiding, educating and directing your onsite team to be highly effective in a Lean culture as you will have day-to-day responsibility of Warehouse functions. Responsibilities will include but not limited to supervising outbound functions, mostly LTL’s 8 to 10 trailers and small carrier trailers of 1 to 2 per shift, floor professionals, meeting set KPI’s reporting, auditing, load quality and more.

Must be experienced in WMS, Microsoft Office, and computer literate.

Excellent communication skills both with internal and external customers, experienced in WMS, Microsoft Office, computer literate and transportation background is a plus but not necessary.

Mon through Friday

6:00am to 2:30pm

Additional days and hours may be needed based on business needs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Experience with DOT, OSHA, and all related safety regulations required

  • Minimum of 6 (six) months supervisory experience required

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-3 Years of experience in a transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred

  • Knowledge/Experience in transportation environment, (i.e. Shipping, receiving and inventory management, distribution or dispatch) preferred

  • Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems preferred

  • Disciplinary actions

  • Quality assurance Administrative duties

  • Customer satisfaction/problem resolution

  • Ensure functional area meets all productivity goals and objectives

  • Safety management and reporting
