Customer Service Supervisor

The International Paper, Indianapolis SpaceKraft Plant is accepting applications for the full-time Customer Service Supervisor position.

INTRODUCTION:

As an essential business, International Paper (NYSE: IP) is a Fortune 500 company and global leader in the packaging and paper industries. International Paper’s SpaceKraft business produces liquid bulk packaging solutions, specifically flexible packaging (liners), corrugated packaging, and injection molding.

SUMMARY:

The Customer Service Supervisor position is responsible for providing overall direction and leadership to the customer support team. The successful candidate will improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction by implementing service and operations strategies. In addition to business improvement, the successful candidate will be expected to provide team members with challenging work and developmental objectives, and will share both responsibility and accountability in the attainment of organizational goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as a front line decision maker, managing major and significant customer accounts, some having enterprise agreements.

  • Interacting with the planning, manufacturing, shipping, and sales departments to ensure proper support is provided, and to problem solve solutions to customer issues.

  • Providing significant process and/or product expertise, and being a subject matter expert resource for other team members.

  • Receipt and processing of requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations.

  • Additional duties may be assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

  • Eight (8) or more years of customer relations experience is required

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred; prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry is highly preferred; prior customer relations experience in the corrugated packaging industry is especially preferred.

  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred; prior customer relations supervisory experience is highly preferred.
